Spredfast Launches Promotions, a Game for Collecting Customer Data
Customizable social contest builder collects unique data that matters to companies.

Spredfast added Promotions to its social software platform. Promotions is a custom contest builder that gathers consumer-shared data to help companies better understand their customers.

Promotions enables marketers to collect customer data via contests, sweepstakes, sign-up forms, and more. With each entry, marketers receive customer insights ranging from product usage and preferences to birthdays and email addresses.

Now Spredfast users can design custom contests and apply their findings to advertising, CRM, and product development. Promotions creates engaging opportunities for customers to win prizes,

"Thanks to Promotions, for the first time, we were able to solicit specific information from viewers via a social contest, including brand preference, purchase intent, and preferred contact info. This allowed us to deliver to our advertisers localized data they could act upon to directly drive sales," said Jamie Sawyer, director of digital marketing at Raycom Media, in a statement. "We were also able to roll this single contest out to more than 35 markets simultaneously, creating this opportunity for over 180 local advertisers."

Marketers can also create custom apps and pages using templates, enter cascading style sheets, or design free form to produce contests that fit their companies' visual identities.
